What to wear
Dress Code
A destination wedding deserves clothes that move with the ocean air. Here's what to pack for each event — for him and for her.
Friday, May 14
Welcome Bonfire
All White
Everyone in white. Relaxed, beachy, golden-hour into evening — comfortable enough for sand, photographed beautifully against the bonfire light.
For her
A breezy white maxi or midi dress, a white linen jumpsuit, or white wide-leg pants with a soft white top. Any shade of white works — ivory, cream, off-white — wear what feels easy.
For him
White or off-white linen pants or lightweight chinos with a white cotton button-up, linen shirt, or polo. No tie. A white linen blazer is a nice touch if the evening turns cool.
Footwear
Sandals, espadrilles, or flat slides. We'll be on sand near the bonfire — heels won't be your friend.
A note on color
All white is the only request — any tone (ivory, cream, off-white) is welcome. Save white for Friday, then go colorful on Saturday.
Weather
Cabo nights cool down quickly once the sun drops. Bring a light wrap, scarf, or jacket for after dark.
Saturday, May 15
Wedding Day
Beach Formal
Elevated coastal — formal energy in fabrics that breathe. Black-tie spirit, beach reality.
For her
A floor-length or tea-length cocktail dress, a maxi, or a slip in flowing fabrics like silk, chiffon, or crepe. Bold colors, soft pastels, and prints all welcome.
For him
A lightweight suit (linen, summer wool, or cotton) in navy, gray, sage, blue, or earth tones. Tie optional. A crisp button-up is enough — jackets can come off for dinner and dancing.
Footwear
Block heels, wedges, or dressy flats for ladies (the ceremony is on sand, so leave the stilettos home). For gents, dress shoes or loafers — consider a pair you don't mind getting a little sand on.
A note on color
White was Friday — please skip white, ivory, champagne, and cream on Saturday so the bride stands out. Bold colors, soft pastels, and prints are all welcome.
Weather
The ceremony is outdoors at sunset and the reception is on an open-air terrace. A wrap or light layer is a good call after dinner.
